Macy’s Sweater sale

Deliverable: Email / Landing page.
Challenge: Men between ages 28-45, they may buy one or two sweaters for themselves each year, but they
don’t typically think of “fall” as an opportunity to refresh their wardrobes the way that women do. They are motivated by savings and convenience, as well as by style.

Solution:

  • Intriguing headline
  • Because they’re not interested in sweaters and want to rather save, I used a situation that they might go through in my copy to get them interested.
  • Because they don’t have time, and want to read it quickly I kept the intrigue to guide them to the next sentence to the very end.

Aspirin

Deliverable: Banner Ad to lead prospects to sales page.
Challenge: Professionals ages 35–50 with household incomes of 75K+. They find themselves balancing a million different tasks along with their careers and families. They face a lot of stress on a daily basis and, often, that stress is manifested by way of headaches.
Bayer On-the-Go bottles are smaller sized, but with easier-to-open lids, allowing adults to have easy access to aspirin without having to take time out of their days. We want them to click the banner ad to visit the Bayer On-the-Go page of the Bayer site.

Solution:

  • Because a banner ad is three small frames I used few words in my copy, as well as get the same message across no matter what frame you see first.
  • I also didn’t want to use any words that might trigger an already negative experience in the reader like the word “pain”.

Johnsons Baby Conditioner

Deliverable: Email to lead prospects to the next step
Challenge: Parents of young children ages 0–2 years. They are looking to purchase the highest
quality products for their children and the new Johnson’s Baby Conditioner is just that—a top-quality product that keeps kids’ hair soft and keeps their scalps moisturized. We want them to visit the Johnson’s Baby website to learn more about the product and download
a coupon to purchase it.

Solution: This is actually to guide the prospect to the next step in the Business’s Funnel.

So you’re actually selling the link and not that much of the product —–> the product selling happens in the next page of the business.
